BIOGRAFIE: Alena Sojer studied at the Conservatoire of the Vorarlberg, graduating with distinction. Her master's degree was at the Musikakedemie of Basel under Filippo Gamba, where she also immersed herself in the Lied repertoire under Jan Schultsz. Since then she has pursued her passion for the genre of Art Song. She took a further degree as Master of Arts in Specialised Performance for Lied interpretation in Anton Kernjak's class and graduated with highest marks. She also attended master classes with, among others, Ferenc Rados, Zoltán Kocsis, András Schiff, Thomas Hampson, Roger Vignoles, Ralf Gothoni and Hartmut Höll.Her activities as a chamber musician have taken Alena to the renowned International Musicians Seminar in Prussia Cove, England, as well as to the highly respected JMI Chamber Music Campus in Weikersheim. She was a finalist in the international cometition for Liedkunst in Stuttgart and since 2015 appears regularly at the Origen Festival Cultural as collaborative pianist for Lied. She worked as a repetiteur at the Theater Basel in the 2016/17 season. She works increasingly in interdisciplinary contexts. Despite this, the planning and performance of a classical song recital remains something very close to her heart! |
